HOT AIR BALLOON CLASS

Equipment: 

These are the inflators we use! We recommend an air pump that is strong enough to inflate your double-stuffed balloons. Lower quality inflators can overheat after a few minutes of use. The second inflator we strictly use to inflate 260Qs, double stuffed 5” and mini-orbz.

Balloons: 

There are different brands of balloons available. We like Qualatex and it is the brand we use 90% of the time.  For pastel colours we use Sempertex. These are the two brands we use during this class. For the hot air we aim to use 9” balloon when possible. If you want to use double stuffed pastel colours use a white 9” on top – Never use 11” underinflated as it will look very white. Other colours that are not available in 9” can be underinflated. 

Suppliers: 

We purchase most of our supply from Surprize Enterprize. They are a Canadian operated wholesaler; if you are in Canada, we highly recommend them.  There are two other particularly good suppliers we go to — Balloon Depot (SKS Novelty) and Bargain Balloons (BB also has a US website).  Sempertex balloons can be purchased from Balloons Online website, although Balloon Depot also carries Batallatex

Balloon Tape 

We prefer Balloon Bond as you can easily cut it into small pieces but Uglu dashes is a good alternative 

Accessories: 

We buy this ribbon from Michaels as it is very affordable and decent quality. Nicer colours we order from Creative Bags. 

The basket we used in class was Hamper we got from Marshalls. You can use anyone you like, just look for a sturdy one that has corners for you to attach the poles on the sides. 

To add weight to the base, we used sand weights we purchased on Amazon.
